This is one of the best, if not the best restaurant in Vero Beach. We have been to this restaurant many times, and never had a bad meal. The service is second to none. From the fresh fish to the steaks, always the best ingredients and spices. That also accommodate Gluten free with issues! I highly recommend this restaurant. View all feedback.
What Coyote-Travelerz doesn't like about The Tides:
The setting is pretty and the staff very nice. The food is where (for us) there were issues. Calamari Average Duck Lacking flavor Pork lacked flavor Mashed Potatoes not warm Carrots Overcooked This rating is based on the fact we were a large party (9 people) on a busy night and I want to believe the kitchen was overwhelmed. From the start this place is 5 STARS, I left a message for a reservation they called back within a half hour, to confirm the reservation. We arrived a half hour early only because we had never been there before driving from Indialantic we were prepared to wait they seated us right away, service and food were wonderful. Pear salad awsome! Halibut was also delicious
Had the privilege of experiencing the excellent service, food and staff at the tides last night! We had a large party of over 20. The staff truly went above and beyond to provide incredible service.
Ocean Grill was my favorite until we went to The Tides...Ahhhhmaaazzzing!!! We were a table of 8 and everyone thought it was the best food they ever had. We shared tastes of each others food and I can tell you we've been to many 5 star restaurants and this was superb. The Tides Greek Salad was delish! The pork chop will be the best you've ever tasted in your life! The filet mignon and new York strip will also probably be the best you've ever had in your life. It may ruin you forever..you may not even want to eat anywhere else ever again. Totally worth every penny spent...even the butter that they give you is a specialty butter you can't buy in stores. Anywho..with that being said..skip the oatmeal cake..get the key lime pie if you want desert
We arrived for our reservation at six thirty as asked. We were seated promptly at our table for five. The server was lovely and very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and specials. We were given water and then waited……….soon one of the bus boys threw a basket of bread on the table. With a small dish of butter. In these days of rising prices, I understand the change in the bread service. I haven’t been to the Tides once in over twenty years that the bread wasn’t offered by the server to you with a choice of at least three types of bread or delicious corn muffins. Only baguette in a basket this time. We had to ask for more butter for five folks. The apps were served. Portions of the Greek salad smaller and I had a feeling the calamari was different. Might have been some frozen rings mixed in with the bodies. Then I had a strip steak. Meat was of high quality and cooked perfectly medium rare. The sauce was strange. Very acid. I think it was a thickened worsteshire sauce or something very tart. Just didn’t go with the streak. I was disappointed as I have a anemia and only ordered the steak to help my blood count. I didn’t order the filet mignon as it has Gorgonzola sauce which is not a favorite. Yikes, there were small bits of the cheese on the plate under my onion rings adorning the steak. This is the first time in over twenty years that I have been disappointed in anything the Tides has served me. The other diners were happy with their Ahi, Veal, pompano, and grouper. Also noticed the greeters and good bye folks were missing this time. Usually Claudia is always there to send us off with good wishes. As I say. Just small changes but we felt them…….. Growth and change……..the server was charming and on it, but we did wait awhile for each course.
Consistency, deliciousness, great food and exceptional services. Been coming for years, hope you never lose the touch as you grow. Thank you for so many good meals throughout the years.
