Description
**Fishack: A Mixed Bag of Culinary Experiences**
Nestled in a vibrant part of the city, Fishack offers a charming ambiance and attentive service. Diners rave about the clam chowder, calamari, and some seafood mainstays like the lobster roll and blackened shrimp. While certain dishes, like the crab-crusted halibut, get praise, others—such as the fried fish tacos and dry scallops—leave room for improvement, particularly in flavor and preparation. Though the prices may not reflect the culinary execution consistently, the inviting atmosphere and enthusiastic staff promise a dining experience that keeps patrons contemplating their next visit. Bring your appetite; there's much left to explore!.

I ordered wholebelly clam platter because I have not been able to find them for YEARS. I'm from New England, these were very close to what I remember. The calamari was excellent. My brother in law said the fried shrimp was the best he'd ever had. I highly recommend Fishack. Emily, our server, was very good
I ordered the crab-encrusted haddock, but it turned out to be a poorly prepared crab cake laid on top of a dry, overcooked haddock for $34. The haddock had no flavor, and the crab cake was nearly burnt. Someone should take a moment to understand what encrusted actually means. The waitstaff were pleasant and even offered me a complimentary chowder, which I declined. I paid my bill and left.
We were in town for a fishing trip and stumbled upon this seafood restaurant. We loved the food and drinks! They even cooked our catch to perfection. Thank you for the great hospitality!
Went this week with family. Decor and service are great. Love the open kitchen and tables are well-spaced. However, the food is sub-par for the price. $33 for six medium sea scallops with steam vegetables. Mahi and shrimp tacos were dry, served without afresh sauce (just a store-bought tomato salsa). That?s a shame since the lime sauce served with the scallops would be perfect onthese tacos. Crab-crusted halibut was good, though a little dry as well. This and the shrimp grits were good and, to me, worththeir price tags. The dirty rice which seemed to come with every plate was very good. A decent dining experience over all butfood needs to improve in quality some to justify the prices. Probably won?t be back anytime soon.
