I visited the restaurant to try the famous lobster roll I often hear about, but since I was there for brunch, I opted for the Lobster BLT instead. Wow, it was incredible! What User doesn't like about The Anchor:
The fried chicken sandwich was just average. The Nashville sauce tasted more like ketchup drizzled on the chicken rather than being a proper coating. Additionally, the chicken was made from dark meat rather than white meat. The sandwich's crispiness was underwhelming, lacking a satisfying crunch. On the bright side, it did have an appealing appearance. View all feedback.
I went to try the famous lobster roll I've been hearing so much about, but I ended up having brunch and ordered the Lobster BLT instead. WOW. This was possibly the best biscuit I've ever tasted, and the rest of the sandwich was just as fantastic. The tomato was incredibly flavorful, the bacon was thick and crispy, and the lobster was rich and buttery. The homemade potato wedges that accompanied the dish were phenomenal too. My friend, who is vegan, really enjoyed their vegan fish tacos, which were loaded with fresh grilled veggies and creamy guacamole. Now I still need to go back for that lobster roll, but I highly recommend trying the BLT if you visit for brunch!
Anchor Lobster Roll is decadent and truly unique, while the Mexican Street Corn is simply outstanding! The Fried Nashville Hot Chicken is incredibly juicy. Dining on the sidewalk allows me to enjoy the refreshing sea breeze, which adds to the experience. I highly recommend this place—don't miss out on these fantastic dishes!
The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. I went in for bottomless Bloody Marys, but they only had mimosas available for the bottomless option. Even so, the drinks were still very enjoyable.
Worth the short walk up from the beach for outstanding shrimp and lobster fare. Go for the lobster BLT won’t be disappointed. Lobster roll a bit small and pricey but tasted great!
Wow! The lobster roll was incredible (with a gluten-free bun!) and came with delicious fries. It had a wonderfully buttery flavor and tasted super fresh. It's not a huge portion, but that's not what I expect when ordering a lobster roll anyway.
