Gravy - Vashon
Gravy
Description
Gravy, a southern-style eatery on Vashon Island, elicits mixed reactions from diners. While some praise its cozy atmosphere and the mouthwatering brisket Reuben, others criticize the overpriced menu and inconsistent service. Many reviews highlight delectable sandwiches, like the tuna melt and pulled pork, but also note issues such as greasy preparation and slow service. The unique payment system, requiring tips before tasting the food, raises eyebrows. Despite the flaws, there’s a charming vibe and friendly staff that keep patrons coming back for more. Overall, Gravy is a restaurant that, while polarizing, leaves a memorable impression.

A heartfelt thank you to Pepa, Dre, and the incredible team at Gravy for making our wedding day so special. They went above and beyond, ensuring every detail was perfect. The fried chicken and corn pudding were standout dishes that our guests couldn’t stop talking about for days! From the initial menu planning to the big day itself, their professionalism and warm hospitality made everything flow seamlessly. We’re beyond grateful to have had Pepa and her team cater our wedding. If you're planning a wedding or special event on Vashon, we can't recommend Gravy highly enough!
Not worth the hype at all. Awful customer service. Owner is hella rude. No hospitality whatsoever. Over priced food. They burnt my food when they warmed it up. The “salad” was a bed of lettuce. I highly not recommend this place. Didn’t even check on us.
This eatery operates on a register-first basis and specializes in southern-style cuisine. The pulled pork was especially tasty, but make sure to arrive early as popular items tend to sell out quickly. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience.
We had a BLT and Cool Ranch Chicken sandwich. Did not ever think I had to come to Vashon from Houston to have one of the best BLTs ever.
