The Good Store - Vanrhynsdorp
The Good Store
Description
Set along a busy highway, this roadside stop is a reliable pit‑stop for strong coffee, hearty toasted sandwiches and a selection of homemade goods. Clean restrooms, a dog park and kids’ play area make it family- and pet-friendly, while quick takeaway service keeps travelers moving. Service is inconsistent—front counter staff can be brusque or loud and orders sometimes err—so expect occasional waits or limited items (pizzas) during peak. Overall a convenient, affordable stop for road trippers who value convenience over polish.

Convenient store with great take-away options. Upon arriving in Vanrhynsdorp, we enjoyed a delicious chicken strips wrap and a coffee—it was absolutely delightful. The next morning, as we were leaving town, we stopped by the store once more. This time, we ordered a toasted cheese sandwich and an omelet filled with bacon, mushrooms, and onions. Good food at the Good Store. Service: Dine in.
This is my go-to spot for coffee and a bite to eat, especially during our long journey from Britstown to Centurion with my three dogs who love to stretch their legs. I recommend bringing your own large coffee cup to enjoy a generous serving of hot java. The toasted sandwiches are delicious and filling, and the service is quick and efficient. Overall, I rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5!
