Yakiniku Chosun Restaurant - Vancouver

I've been here twice now Once with my partner for her birthday and just last week for drinks and appies We sat on the patio and ordered the sapporo

We didn't plan to get takeout from this restaurant but the restaurant we found online did not offer takeout on Saturday night. This place turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The sashimi pieces and Maki rolls were large and so flavourful. The seafood was so fresh. Only wish they delivered to Burnaby!

This is a Japanese BBQ restaurant. In the middle of the table is a kind of hot plate which is warmed by gas. You put your meat on the hot plate till you think the meat is done. This is eaten with a sour kind of vegetables which looks a lot like the Korean kimci. After a while the plate is black and you can ask for a clean one. We had a pitcher of Japanese beer which I believe was Saporo and tasted very good. The restaurant looks authentic but some of the staff could smile more. This was a nice restaurant to visit.

Ordered the Ume BBQ combo. Comes with soup, salad, rice and 4 sides. More than enough for the two of us! My husband loved the Sapporo on tap.

We ordered calamari and the "Ume" combo. You cook it all yourself on a grill in the table and It was enough food for 2! The calamari was a little crispier then I'm used to but it was good. The spicy mayo that came with it was really good! The chicken was great! Overall it was a cool experience!
