It's hard to mess up a pizza, but somehow this place made one worse than frozen pizza, and managed to charge over 30 dollars for it. Don't waste your money. Food: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Price per person: $30–40

The atmosphere at Joss was very friendly and it felt like a local pub in anyone's home town. The fire pizza oven turned out amazing pizzas with perfect crusts. You have to try two to get the full experience. Vancouver hosts some of the best beers in the world and the European beer on tap did not disappoint. The attention to detail whether it was the owner or staff was very impressive. Every time I tried a different beer, I was given a new glass and matching coaster with the corresponding branding. Very nice touch. My only complaint is that it doesn't open for lunch as this place deserves to be frequented more often. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Dine in

Now I know what it feels like to be verbally assaulted. We arrived on time for a reservation we’d booked. After waiting at the end of a line for a while I politely checked with the people ahead if they had reservations or if they had checked in. They did not have reservations so I went inside to find out if we needed to check in, etc. With the restaurant apparently full, no sign of the table we’d reserved being available, and a line of people ahead of us I didn’t know what else to do. As I approached the owner to ask if we needed to check in he glared at me and said abruptly “I’m Busy. Go stand out there” and he pointed at the door. I tried to ask him if we needed to check in and he got really angry and aggressive and told me to “Just get out”. I told him to cancel our reservation then did as he asked and I left. I’m a polite 60 year old guy and I’ve encountered a lot of people in my life. This was the most abrupt and angry encounter I’ve ever had. I was actually really shaken up by it but I’m only willing to get so upset over a pizza so I managed to shake it off and we had a nice meal down the road at another place. I’ve never written a bad review of anything and I don’t know what lead to this fellow being so angry but it really was uncalled for.

Stumbled upon this place and sat on the patio. We didn?t have a reservation but they luckily seated us anyway. We all ordered a pizza each and it took around 30 minutes to come out. Service was pretty slow for an early evening meal. When the pizza did comeout I felt like it was warm and not hot from an oven.
