Fantastic experience. We had the tasting menu and added the fois gras which was completely worth it. Very delicious! Great unique food, and would definitely recommend trying their yuzu creme brulee. What Stanford Smith doesn't like about Pidgin:
From the food to the service a little disappointed me. Ideas are creative and ingredients are fresh and well cooked, but Sauce is ordinary, kimchi is too complex in our month. but it has best location to have a family reunion. View all feedback.
We had an amazing time at Pidgin. We chose the fixed price menu with the flight pairing, and everything was ridiculously good!! We will be back.
So this meal was pretty amazing. Since we were visiting Vancouver, we had no idea it was restaurant week. So when we were earring this amazing tasting menu, we would never have guessed it was a restaurant week tasting menu. The food was so smart and brilliant. Too smart for some of the other guests, but that's a different story. Lol My favorite of the tasting menu was the Seafood Dashi. So rich and flavorful. I could've eaten bowls of it. I would even bath in it. SO GOOD!!!!! Ending the meal with the Yuzu Creme Brûlée was really smart. It was so light and sharp, it was almost like a palette cleanser. I didn't leave the meaL feeling reallY heavy. A restaurant that serves Korean, Japanese and French cuisine can go very wrong. Pidgin did it perfect to a T. They didn't try to mash the three cuisines together. They worked with the cooking traditions and carefully made a great progressive meal where the cuisines complimented each other.
So good. Each dish kept getting better and better as it came out. The oyster shot blew our minds. So flavorful with great textures!! Great date night spot. Our server (Jordan) was so friendly and made great suggestions.
PiDGin is a complete dining experience. I cannot say enough about the service, special mention to Jordan and Patrick, the menu is constantly changing and constantly awesome and to top it off, the drinks are second to none! Making a reservation is a must as this place is always busy and deservedly so.
A place with a really welcoming vibe with asian chefs that do a solid fusion style thats both inspired and original. Brilliant bar and table service. Management are genuine progressives who want to do good for the community and staff and continuously engage it with compassion and understanding. A real gem in Gastown that deserves all the respect it gets and more.
