Experienced Omakaze at the sushi bar. What a delicious treat sushi, tepan and tempura. Quite unlike anything else in Vancouver. Chef Tojo is quite the character! View all feedback.
What anaest doesn't like about Tojo's Restaurant:
This is fine dining with exorbitant prices so we have high expectation but felt let down. There was five of us, three seasonal Omakase, two Shiawase Omakase and order Waygu beef as an addition. The food is decent but not spectacular, which was our expectation due to price. Some of the seafood is imported from Japan but we eat Japanese very often and must said we have had much better sashimi and sushi elsewhere with h... View all feedback.
The food is world class. The atmosphere is more casual than I’d expected, but that’s how Vancouver rolls. Mr Tojo is clearly a master of his craft.
We loved all the food we tried here. It was a great experience. Highly recommend the Great BC roll.
We order a seasonal omakase, it was good but to much food, we could not finish the sushi, and others plates so bad! Also the waiters speaks a little English so we could not understand what he explains. Less is more, we think that the tempura was to big in the menu
Such kind and welcoming staff who made our experience wonderful. The sashimi and sushi rolls were amazing. The quality of the fish was very good. Highly recommend
We have had the omakase at Tojo”s for a number of years, and our recent visit was the first time that I felt the quality had slipped a little. It’s still very good, but it used to be better it used to be exquisite. I hope they can recapture that or that it was perhaps an off night.
