I ordered a martini rosso as initial drink and it was served in a small glass with an ice cube from the automatic ice cube maker from the fridge. The menu was in German and when asked for an English version, the translation was terrible and we were not advised of the daily specials. The salad we ordered was basic and boring. The soup excellent. Our seconds were terrible. My cordon bleu was cooked from frozen and leaked water every time I poked my knife in it. Unacceptable! The other person ordered duck and no one asked how they wanted it cooked so it came totally over cooked. The prices were expensive for the food and the care they took in the food and quality of the same. Also teh service did not speak ENglish which never ceases to amaze me in Germany.

The food is absolutely excellent, the wines too. However, prices also reflect this, but the quality justifies the price Level. Let the owner advise you on wines from the Mosel!

We were lucky to get a table without reservation because it was very busy on Friday evening for a small town like Vallendar. The menu is very much traditional german, focusing on seasonal food. Nice presentation, big portions but it was a bit salty for me.. Nevertheless, the prices were quite high but worth it.

I'm not used... read more Sent an email with a reservation request 4 days ago. To date no answer. A restaurant that is mentioned in the Michelin Guide should deliver better. I'm not used to this kind of reservation management. There are plenty of other restaurants that are happy to welcome guests.
