Lovely property up in the mountains in vail. The rooms were clean and well equipped and the service was wonderful. The downside is the cost. Of everything. The rooms are not terrible priced for the area but the fees don't stop....venue fees, crazy high parking expense for your vehicle, the bar (hot damn most expensive drinks! If I could change anything I'd move it a little closer to the action in the village and lowe... View all feedback.
What Stephanie P doesn't like about The Hot Tub Time Machine:
I came here for a work conference and I wasn't sure of what to expect because previous reviews mentioned ongoing construction. Honestly, my stay here was quite comfortable. The room was gorgeous with a separate deep bath tub, fireplace, and beautiful little private patio. The hotel restaurant offered a limited menu because of construction and I found the food to be average. I wasn't a fan of the pizza at all because... View all feedback.
We arrived to a renovation party where the lobby was in the back conference room. I was rolling my eyes at first because it seemed so thrown together. Then we met Chris, our front desk hero. He was so informative and accommodating. He took great care of us and instantly became our friend. The room was nice. At first I was annoyed by the $50 nightly fee for a hotel that was mostly shut down. But then we discovered our scooters. We loved exploring Vail on these electric carpets. Our first ride, my scooter had 100% battery. 10 min in, it was dead. I was in the other side of Vail to play pickleball. My wife called and guess what our BFF did for us...he drove across town to give us a newly charged one. It would have been a long walk home. The fitness room is top notch. The whirlpool is equally as perfect. We spent time there every day. The ice cream social from 3-5 was fun. The team just made us feel so welcome. We loved our stay there. Chris was amazing and exemplifies the real meaning of costumer service. We were lucky to check out of our stay as the lobby had a soft opening. It was amazing.

The hotel restaurant offered a limited menu because of construction and I found the food to be average. I wasn't a fan of the pizza at all because the dough tasted like it was frozen. The turkey club and steak fries was much better. One thing to point out many of the guests brought their dogs and there was dog hair on the couches in the lobby. Like a LOT of dog hair
Stayed here during our skiing vacation and we can be more happy with the staff and the service we received. We had everything we needed in the room, the view from the porch was amazing, and the front desk staff gave us all the information we needed to make our stay a great one. The location of this resort is the main reason why we booked here. We were minutes from the village, gondola, restaurant, and stores! There's also a bus service from the town that is free and takes you to around to the next towns over. There is so much to do here and the people were friendly everywhere we went! I would highly recommend booking your stay here :
Overall this is a very nice property and we had a beautiful room with a great view and a wonderful trip to Vail. The room was beautiful and the fireplace was cozy. The hot tub was a wonderful amenity although it had to be reserved for 15 minute increments due to the covid pandemic. The fire pits, s'mores, and free welcome beers are a nice touch. The ski valet service was a positive experience. The restaurant had great breakfast and there's a Starbuck's. The location is perfect- you are right in Lionshead Village with dining and shops. You can easily walk into Vail Village which we did daily, the apres-ski scene is a little more lively and exciting there. Most bars have outside seating with space heaters. The spa is nice and recommend a massage. For skiing downloading the Vail app is helpful for knowing which slopes are where and which gondolas you need to use. The front desk acts as a wall and the customer service is pretty poor considering the steep prices $1000+ per night while we were there). They find a way to say no whether it's accurate or not and seemingly want to just get rid of you as quickly as possible. Uber is very unreliable in Vail. There typically aren't any cars available. Recommend setting up a private ride from Vail airport.
Luxury experience, five stars all around! All the staff was friendly but Yousef at the front desk was particularly helpful! He went out of his way to help us figure out activities for our stay. The hotel lets you check out snow shoes and sleds, board games and couple other things... we took advantage of it and loved our experience here. We felt very safe during covid, mask are required and the entire place feels clean and fresh. Hotel also has activity kits for painting and modeling clay... we had family competition after dinner each night. Kept us busy and warm after a full day of snow activities. Hotel offers shuttle service, so we didn't have to drive our car around town, which is a good thing, as icy snowy conditions make us nervous. We come from Texas... no snow in our neck of the woods.
