Amazing Homemade Italian, Perfected! My husband and I started out with a bottle of Vencia Ronco del Cerò and the bruschetta and both were phenomenal!! What User doesn't like about La Nonna Vail:
Very enjoyable on the patio. We sampled a variety of food. The mushroom truffle ravioli was delicious. Salads and apps great. My husband had the veal piccata, thought it was fair. I had the fish special a little bland. Overall very good, nice wine list. View all feedback.
Be sure to try the Arugula salad—it's truly unforgettable! The entire experience was fantastic, and we can't wait to return.
This is a pasta restaurant, and I found the pasta dishes to be superior to the other items we ordered. The pasta itself was outstanding!
On our last night in Vail, La Nonna did not disappoint. My wife and I shared an appetizer, pasta dishes, and veal scallopini. Every course was excellent. The appetizer was the mushroom dish, and the sauce was light and perfect for enjoying with the delicious bread. We had the seafood pasta with a light tomato sauce that wasn’t overly tomatoey, and the seafood included was very fresh. The octopus was tender and not chewy. The veal was very good, though I was expecting a more traditional scallopini preparation; it was more like a veal parmesan. So, if you decide to order it, just be aware of what to expect. For dessert, we finished with a pear cake, which we absolutely loved! The portion sizes were just right for sharing. Overall, we had a wonderful time. The staff was attentive, and every detail was well taken care of.

My husband had the mushroom ravioli with truffle oil and that was even better. His dish was very rich and we ended up swapping dinners halfway thru and happy we did that as we both loved each pasta dish. We finished the dinner with a complementary glass of limoncello as it was our anniversary. We both said this was one of the best dinners we have had!!
Well worth the wait for the remodel! Both food and service were excellent. Can hardly wait till our return.
