Some of the best I had. I sat for university and green tea and a job for my family of 6 takeout. Uni was the best I had. Five stars. These people are serious. It's expensive and it should be. I'm glad there is so good. View all feedback.
What Alton Black doesn't like about Joy Sushi:
I enjoyed the salmon lemon roll. Large pieces and fish was fresh. Nigiri was not ideal. The octopus was very fishy tasting and tougher than you’d normally have. Large pieces though but I didn’t want to finish it. The wine was terrible like maybe a bottle had been opened a long time ago and when mentioned did not remedy or remove from bill even though I only had one sip. I felt rushed during dinner service, as I was told the kitchen was closing even though they had agreed to seat me at 8 PM. There was also no drink menu available. For the price I paid, I'd suggest looking for other dining options in the valley. I spent $80 on my meal but didn’t enjoy it and won’t be coming back. Additionally, my server wasn’t familiar with allergens in some of the dishes.
After reading the glowing reviews, we had to check it out. We were in the mood for sushi, and nothing could compare based on locals' suggestions. This small, charming restaurant is located just across the freeway from Vail, so don’t let its size or location deter you. The food was fresh and absolutely incredible! They have an extensive menu of rolls with fantastic options. The sushi was not only incredibly fresh but also featured generous portions of fish. The hot sake was plentiful and delicious. The staff was warm and welcoming, genuinely appreciating our business. My wife and I will definitely return!
This is a must try when you're ready to eat off site Vail and pay half the usual price in town. The sushi was so fresh and generous in size. Service is great and they are incredibly fast with serving the food. I wish I had a gem like this back home.
It was an amazing place when it opened, we’ve used to eat there at least once a week, sadly over the years it lost from the quality…The rolls are still good but for that price I’ll rather order from other restaurants in town and get better fish quality. Not the best customer service.
Omit the eel sauce and you’ve got an 8 piece roll of excellent sushi!
