Contribute FeedbackEl Segundo in Vail has been a favorite among locals and tourists alike, offering delicious Mexican fusion cuisine and outstanding service. While the 3% "Kitchen Appreciation Tax" has received mixed reviews, the overall experience at this family-friendly restaurant has been positive. With a variety of gluten-free options and a welcoming atmosphere, El Segundo is a go-to spot for those looking for great tacos and friendly service. Despite some minor inconveniences like noise levels and wait times, customers are generally satisfied with their dining experience and continue to return for the tasty food and inviting ambiance.
Highly recommend the Me and Julio margarita, chips and guacamole, and Hot Korean.
Great tacos, nice service, great ambiance, thank you Katherine H. For your great service and friendliness. The place has a nice view of the creek outside sitting. Great place for tacos.
We asked three locals where to go for lunch and all three recommended El Segundo. It didn’t disappoint. This Mexican fusion restaurant had interesting and tasty tacos and I really enjoyed the Brussels sprouts appetizer. Nearly everything on the menu is gluten free, something they should advertise more.
Excellent food. There was one taco we ordered that looked like it was from Taco Time though, so avoid the Mad Gringo, it's just not worth it. Maybe a 99c, but certainly not $9! Other tacos and apps were great. Chips have their own fryer, no cross-contam there! Street corn salad was unexpected hit. Drinks were awesome. So awesome they tried to charge us $12 for a sangria we never ordered. Had to go all the way back (10 minute walk) for a fix which then took another 10 minutes. Wasn't so much about the $12. Otherwise, great place.Vegetarian options: Quite a few veggie and vegan optionsKid-friendliness: Mac and cheeseDietary restrictions: Chips in their own fryer. Corn tortillas
Love the deck, food is great, service is solid. Dropped a star due to the cheesy attempt at super inflated tips. There is an automatic 3% tip for the kitchen, which is fine, but it seems to be the subtotal along with food, then taxed, then when they hand you the terminal, they conveniently have 25% tip selected for you, with the lowest option being 22%. You’re also tipping x% on the kitchen tip this way.. like I said cheesy and the last/lasting impression is a bit negative.
