We stayed overnight in Maryborough but couldn't find a decent place for brekkie, so we decided to come to Hervey Bay and boy were we not disappointed. The coffees came out pretty quickly and it was really good. It was so good we wound up getting more coffees after we'd finished eating breakfast. My bacon, egg View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Bean Beat:
Not sure why this pace get great reviews? Coffee is ok but weak. Got a tostie squashes in a press then cut into triangles Like my grandma used to? Tomotaoe was stone cold and cheese was nuclear hot!! That’s what parents in a sandwich press...!!! Very pedestrian View all feedback.
We have eaten a few times here on holidays, the food and coffee is always amazing. This time we had to work around some things, as I still a baby with allergies and the experience was great. The staff was so conscious and accommodating... of allergies, it was such a refreshing and wonderful experience. Before the house personnel offered me to talk to the chef to check some ingredients were safe, and all I spoke just understood without going to explain too much trouble. Relaxing and enjoying a meal with my family for the first time at the age was so good. Thank you.
Every time I visit HB, I go to Bean Beat with my brother. The Avocado Stack is very good and my brother and sister in law love the pancakes, coffee is also very good. great service and friendly, the locals...love it
We went to get ice cream and they had a very low selection of ice flavors. 1 rainbow, 1 old English toffe and 2 cookies, but they ran out of cookies and cream, so we had to change one. We... forgot our ice creams and instead of giving us the old English toffee, we have a vanilla ice cream that we don't get weirder. When we ate our ice cream we all got massive ice cream and all the cones were stale. They let us wait a long time for 4 ice cream. $20 for the worst ice I cost. Don't come back!
The egg and bacon roll were absolutely delicious, followed by a tasty apple slice and coffee. The amazing snacks will definitely have me returning for more.
There are several breakfast options along the charming Charlton Esplanade, a beachfront drive overlooking the bay in Hervey Bay. During our visit, we chose Bean Beat for its appealing menu, outdoor seating, promise of great coffee, convenient parking, and a lovely pier nearby. As we were passing through the city on our way to Hervey Bay Airport, we were delighted by the eclectic breakfast choices that catered to various tastes. Our orders were swiftly delivered, and we were impressed by the delicious freshly-brewed coffee, including a strong long black and creamy flat white. The acai fruit bowl, avocado chorizo stack, avocado bacon stack, and salmon omelette were all generous, hot, and flavorful. The café may not stand out from the street, but it is a hidden gem worth finding. It offers a peaceful setting away from the traffic on the esplanade, with a picturesque pier for a post-meal stroll by the sandy beach. Our dining experience was enjoyable, and we would gladly return in the future. Unfortunately, as we visited before the pandemic, we cannot speak to any current COVID-19 safety measures in place at the café.
