We have eaten a few times here on holidays, the food and coffee is always amazing. This time we had to work around some things, as I still a baby with allergies and the experience was great. The staff was so conscious and accommodating... of allergies, it was such a refreshing and wonderful experience. Before the house personnel offered me to talk to the chef to check some ingredients were safe, and all I spoke just understood without going to explain too much trouble. Relaxing and enjoying a meal with my family for the first time at the age was so good. Thank you.

Great brunch with old friends outside on a beautiful Hervey Bay morning. Great menu, reasonably priced, friendly staff.

There are several breakfast options along the charming Charlton Esplanade, a beachfront drive overlooking the bay in Hervey Bay. During our visit, we chose Bean Beat for its appealing menu, outdoor seating, promise of great coffee, convenient parking, and a lovely pier nearby. As we were passing through the city on our way to Hervey Bay Airport, we were delighted by the eclectic breakfast choices that catered to various tastes. Our orders were swiftly delivered, and we were impressed by the delicious freshly-brewed coffee, including a strong long black and creamy flat white. The acai fruit bowl, avocado chorizo stack, avocado bacon stack, and salmon omelette were all generous, hot, and flavorful. The café may not stand out from the street, but it is a hidden gem worth finding. It offers a peaceful setting away from the traffic on the esplanade, with a picturesque pier for a post-meal stroll by the sandy beach. Our dining experience was enjoyable, and we would gladly return in the future. Unfortunately, as we visited before the pandemic, we cannot speak to any current COVID-19 safety measures in place at the café.
