Limelight Cafe - Upper Hutt

These donuts for $5 each, which is somehow expensive in considering the size. but they were tasty and had a yeasty taste I loved.

Second time I've been here in a week with meetings next door. The first time was full of mum's and pushchairs. The second time it was full of other meetings. Either way it was full which is a good sign. Coffee and food are good.

Delicious food! Good quantity and didn’t take too long to come out. Coffee’s looked good but tasted burnt.

Been here many times and enjoyed light lunches..coffee. But went yesterday and had a very milky and weak flat white...sat at a table piled high with the mess from previous customers and watched as a staff cleared all the other tables and left mine cluttered up till the final moment when our coffees came...up till then we had to clear a space on the table ourselves. Why not smile and say hi to a customer sitting at a messy table and then clear it? Why clear all the empty of customer tables first? It really is the little things..the smile and hi that makes the difference...even helps you accept a messy table.

Went Sunday around lunchtime for a meal with 3 adults and 2 kids, the space was nice but very crowded and the layout is pretty poor with limited space to move around. The 4 armchairs right in the middle took up a lot of space and would be better placed to the outside. The food took 45minutes to get to us which is on the slow side, was quite busy, but as the cafe doesn't seat that many I would have expected quicker service. Food quite bland and greasy. There is a nice little kids cubby for the younger ones though and a few highchairs which was good.
