I didn't think this restaurant was very good. I don't understand why it has a 4-star rating. The polenta was well-prepared and delicious, but the pizza was small and didn't have enough seafood topping. The soft shell crab had a thick batter and the crab itself wasn't very tasty, with lots of dark pieces that we couldn't eat. It was expensive and not worth the high prices in my opinion. It might be better for breakfast, but I'm not sure if I would come back to try it again.
The food at this restaurant is mediocre and extremely overpriced. We ordered the chef's plates for a large group, but the portion sizes were inadequate and we left feeling hungry. To make matters worse, we were shocked by the high bill. When we tried to discuss our dissatisfaction with the waitress, who had a bull ring in her nose, she was not receptive. The owner/chef argued that he had recently reduced portion sizes and raised prices. Overall, not worth the money.
Haven't actually been there to eat since it changed hands, but heard from a friend that they do takeaway very well. Last week got duck spring rolls, And nam jim chicken. Delicious and plenty for two when not very hungry. Recommended. Look forward to going there to sit down and eat.
Cons: Slow coffee service, missing berries in muesli I visited this restaurant for breakfast and was impressed by the menu, making me eager to return for lunch or dinner. While our coffees took 40 minutes to arrive and one was incorrect, we were not in a rush and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. My muesli was tasty, though it was missing the berries it was supposed to come with. Despite this, I still enjoyed it. My friends had perfectly poached eggs and a customized vegan/gluten-free dish, both of which were well-prepared and reasonably priced. The staff was very accommodating and the space was inviting, with comfortable wooden furniture. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for the great service and atmosphere, and look forward to returning for a meal later in the day.
Servings were huge and service was fantastic. We unfortunately went on a night where there was a huge party for 50+ people and I think that may have affected the food quality which varied a lot between dishes. We had the arancini and whitebait to start, which were both great. The soft shell crab was really average, deep fried in batter and tasted plain and oily. The yiros styled lamb dish would've been great except that the lamb was just overly cooked and dry. Finally the duck with mandarin was quite average. I've heard good things from other friends so I've put it down to there being a big group. Otherwise service and the restaurant atmosphere was great.
