What Michael Macgillivray doesn't like about Old Shanghai Deluxe:
Average for the area, wanton soup was good value for money, pork dumplings looked a little undercooked (red meat) and the individual meat dishes were a little bland and quite greasy. Decent enough selection of Asian beers though. View all feedback.
TL;DR - there's better food in Chinatown for the same price, but if you're in a rush and just need food, it's not bad.

They are definitely better places in Chinatown for good food.
I happen to think.... ... that Yeah Shanghai Deluxe has the best soupy dumplings in town. The braised pork belly is delicious, as is the stewed pork with bean curd sheets. I can also recommend the sauteed pea shoots and the salt and pepper shrimp. Everything I've ever eaten here has been an absolute delight.
You might feel a little rushed, but the servers are actually just being attentive in my opinion... that being said, don't forget the Shanghainese soup dumplings in your order, really the reason for coming here in the first place.
