Great little hole in the wall takeout sushi restaurant. I go here at least once a week. Fish is really fresh. It is a little expensive, but the food quality is very good. View all feedback.
What Vic Robey doesn't like about Sushi 35 West:
Located upstairs above a smoke shop. The speakeasy aspect was fine. I was led to believe that the lack of atmosphere was a direct trade off for stepped up quality and technique. Kind of a bait and switch. The photos for the Sushi+Sashimi for $40 displays photos of sashimi cut to match the salmon. Instead I got decent salmon and some scraps. Don't look any further. This is the sushi to get for delivery! Crunch Spicy Crab roll and California Roll were delicious. Also ordered the Sake (salmon) and Akami (lean tuna) nigiri. Fresh fish and good rice. Perfect to get delivered to my hotel. Highly recommend!
Best sushi in New York. I've had the best sushi in world, from nobu to zuma to the top omakase. This is by far the best value for money and best delevered sushi out there. Sushi premium Salmon avo roll Eel avocado roll

Takeout sushi got a bad rep. But luckily we have Sushi 35 West to prove anyone's wrong. If your deli and sushi spot do not include or serve raw scallop or uni or toro in the regular sashimi or sushi set, come to Sushi 35 West and you will never go back to those sushi take-out places. All the reasons the shop is on the second floor and take-out only reflect on the quality of fish and rice, and yes, wasabi (none of those fake wasabi). Yes, this is the kind of IYKYK spot. Right, you got a brown take-out bag. But you come for the high quality sushi, not those pretentious frill right?Tip: If you want to pick up or take out, enter the smoke shop (yes, it's the same door) on the ground floor and take the stairs on the right. Follow the fish smell and you will find it.
A take out sushi place. Great quality sushi! But the location is strictly pick up only, the area inside is like a backroom, very storage like.
