What KenC likes about Lucca Restaurant:
Outstanding. North End was “electric” with all the new students and families in Boston for college. We had friends in from California, so we took them to Lucca , our favorite restaurant. Amazing food and service. You must go to Lucca if you are in the north end in Hanover Street. 5 Stars View all feedback. What Nathaniel Durham doesn't like about Lucca Restaurant:
Lucca North End in Boston presents itself as a promising Italian cuisine experience, but it somewhat misses the mark. The Branzino, a dish usually known for its delicate flavor, was notably bland, lacking the expected zest and seasoning. As for the Duck Confit appetizer, it was unremarkable. While not necessarily bad, it failed to leave a lasting impression, which is disappointing considering its potential as a dish.... View all feedback.

Our favorite go-to place for birthdays anniversaries for many years. Never disappointed!
Great food, average service and very loud with street noise and then ambient noise in packed dining areas

read moreLucca North End in Boston offers a promising Italian cuisine experience, though some dishes miss the mark in terms of flavor and seasoning. The Branzino and Duck Confit appetizer leave something to be desired, falling short of expectations. The Grappa may also disappoint those familiar with authentic Italian versions. However, the restaurant is great for a casual meal. Despite some flaws, it provides good service and tasty food. The atmosphere varies depending on where you are seated, but overall, Lucca North End is a decent choice for a meal out.

This is 5-star on the bar service & scene alone. We came in at 11PM to celebrate a friends birthday.
I was in town for the weekend with my boyfriend visiting a friend who now lives in Boston and his girlfriend.

Paying for the location. Nothing was bad but nothing was excellent and most things were borderline.
