What Amanda O likes about American Hotel of Lima.:
The soup...it's like a nice warm hug. I will one million percent come back here and also buy the soup cookbook. The premises are aging as only old buildings can be and the bathroom is functional but not lovely. But this trip isn't about the bathroom make it for the soup and the multi generation family that's running the place. View all feedback. What Warren Bartlett doesn't like about American Hotel of Lima.:
A very old hotel built just after they invented dirt. It was really a step back in time to a different era. We had lunch there and in the dining area was a television with a black and white movie circa 1935. Perhaps it was just a day we were there but the the other lunch people seem to all be of the Geritol generation. Once you enter the hotel everything seems to be in slow motion. View all feedback.

Soup choices great as ever. To bad I was driving or I would have sampled the draft beers too.
