Newly opened Mexican restaurant! Since their launch, it's been incredibly busy. We visited on Friday evening and had to wait about 45 minutes. The interior is beautifully decorated and everything looks fresh and modern. The complimentary chips and salsa were tasty, and they also serve a delicious bean dip. What Tamara Green doesn't like about Valle Escondido:
They served us chips with two types of salsa, both of which were delicious, and the chips were thick and fresh. I ordered the super taco salad, and it was a generous portion for just $12. While there wasn't a lot of shrimp, it was very tasty, and I highly recommend it. My husband tried the special dinner, which included several different items—kind of like a meal sampler. I ordered Clint's burrito, while my husband chose the Burrito Mojado. Although the flavors were great, my dish arrived cold. I requested it to be reheated, but they ended up making a new one. Unfortunately, the second attempt was only slightly warm. Considering how bustling it was and that they’ve only been open for a week, I believe this might just be their initial growing pains. Despite the temperature issue, the food was excellent, and we’ll definitely be back!
Fresh and thrilling! We started with the chunky guacamole, which they make right at the table—something I had never experienced before. My wife ordered the shrimp-wrapped camaron, while I opted for a chicken and steak quesadilla combo. The beans were the best I’ve ever had! It was a successful evening; we left feeling full and satisfied. Highly recommended!

While there wasn't a lot of shrimp, it was very tasty, and I highly recommend it. My husband tried the special dinner, which included several different items—kind of like a meal sampler. He didn't enjoy it as much, but that was mainly because he isn't fond of red sauce on his Mexican food, so keep that in mind. Again, the portion size was quite substantial for $16. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely be back!
