Best nasi goreng (Indonesia style fried rice) with wok hei charred taste and spices full of flavors. get nasi goreng jawa with BBQ pork. taste just like nasi goreng abang tek-tek from street vendor in Jakarta when I am craving for it. also try their bakmi ayam which also good
My all time favourites here are the #7 Kwietiaw Goreng with crispy roast pork or the #11 Nasi Goreng special with chicken and prawns with an egg on top. <br/ <br/ I have also tried a bit of the #10 Nasi Goreng Asian with vegetables which is something I might try next time.<br/ <br/ They have moved only a couple of hundred metres into a newer and larger premises. Fortunately the quality of food is just as awesome as ever but be prepared for longer wait times to get your food order (especially if you are a large group). <br/ <br/ If you want takeaway I suggest you phone ahead.<br/ <br/ This place does not let you down if you are craving some indo food. Far better than ones I have tried in Kensington and closer to the city!
Kwetiaw goreng is the localised version of Malaysian kway teow fried flat rice noodles. The most noticeable variation is the sweet sauciness to the noodles, combined with a noticeable whack of chilli. If you need more heat, got nuts with the self serve sambal chilli sauce pots. Proceed with caution though the chilli sauce packs a serious punch.
Cheap, cheerful and fast, ordered and pay at counter before sitting down. Busy restaurant offering classic indonesian dishes. Most popular for their nasi goreng jawa or javanese fried rice, we ordered chicken but you can choose other type of protein as well. It was a bit plain than expected. Their fried vermicelli (vegetarian) is extremely tasty and fragrant. They also have self served sambal which was really tasty and goes well with both dishes.
Just a 10-minute walk and meals costing only $10—what a way to save! This charming Indonesian restaurant is hidden in the heart of Ultimo. This is my first review, and it's a bit scattered, and not even from my usual Southwestern Sydney area. I also didn’t take enough notes or photos, as I was too busy enjoying the food to document it properly, which is a good sign. But here it goes anyway!
