If you are a cheese lover, you should definitely check this place out. We braved the 2-hour wait, went somewhere else to eat and then came back for second dinner! It was so worth it! Would love to come back and try other dishes. View all feedback.
What Solon Russel doesn't like about Johnny Fishbone:
this bad review is based on our experience, which is served by jamie (the waiter with the long orange bar) last night. he was incredibly rude and aggressive towards our group, he also seemed to be under the influence of his behavior last night include: 1) my friend advised, she did not drink, jamie called her “Boring” and persisted her to drink. when we finally said, “You don’t drink because she is pregnant,” jamie p... I and my friend went here to try their famous cheese pasta, Cacio e Pepe. We also ordered a salad that I can't remember the name. The pasta was quite good. It would be better if you put some chili sauce that they recommended us to put on. The salad was okay. Standard. Nothing special. They served us pretty quickly but the place was quite small.
Fave place for Italian. Burrata cheese and Cacio Pepe in the cheese wheel are the go-tos. Wait is long but it is perfect for having a pre dinner drink at Eau De Vie
A great restaurant with friendly staff. The buffalo cheese has an amazing flavour and is very fresh. Also enjoyed the zucchini fritters. The Cacio e pepe pasta was very tasty but had a lot of pepper. Presentation was great, and great value for money, however downstairs seating was quite cramped.
I have been to this place twice, a few years apart, as one of my friends invited us here for her birthday dinner. I was actually pleased with the prospect of eating here because of the coveted "Cacio e Pepe" dish swirled around a massive cheese wheel. The presentation of the said dish was definitely worth coming to King's Cross area for. All the dishes we ordered were tasty and well seasoned. This place felt a bit cramped especially when seated upstairs. The interiors of the place looked like an industrial area and this place offered indoor and outdoor seating.
