We ate here twice. The chips are gluten free as standard, and fried in rapeseed oil. There are veggie/vegan options too (unfortunately not gluten free). Hubby got haggis chips and it was a huge portion. Kids sausage chips were a good size too. View all feedback.

Great location, good vibe friendly staff BUT terrible food, like change your cook asap. The staff is super friendly, the place is nice we had a good cider at the bar. But then we ordered food. Scallops were okay but dressing was bad (scallops is supposed to be something fine), but the worse was the burger. Even the prison cook might do better burger, the bread was horrible, the meet industrial and low quality, no che... View all feedback.
After being refused service at the pub down the street for a walk-in visit, my partner and I decided to try our luck at The Seaforth without a reservation. We were greeted warmly at the bustling restaurant, and the friendly staff quickly found us a table and took our order. The scallops were absolutely amazing, and our waitress highly recommended the mussels, which did not disappoint! The service was excellent, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the fresh seafood was delicious – we couldn't have asked for a better experience!
Great location, nice atmosphere, and friendly staff, but the food was really disappointing—seriously, they need to change the chef immediately. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and we enjoyed a good cider at the bar. However, when it came time to eat, things went downhill. The scallops were just okay, but the dressing was off; scallops should be a refined dish. The real letdown was the burger. A prison cook could probably make a better one! The bun was terrible, the meat was low-quality and tasted processed, and there was no cheese or anything special. It was just a tiny tomato slice and a bit of lettuce. Take a look at the photo. And for £20, they really should do better!
I have visited this restaurant several times, and it has consistently delivered great experiences. The staff, especially Sarah and her team at Seaforth, have been outstanding on every occasion. It's perfect for families, groups, and solo diners alike. The food is truly excellent. Plus, there's a chip shop nearby, ensuring that everything is fresh from the boat and cooked to perfection! This place is definitely one of the best in town and is open all day.

We walked in early to secure a table around 18:00 and it was quite easy, even if there aren’t tables they offer to sit you at the bar to have a drink whilst waiting. Menu I must say was very pricey however the quality of food that came out was nice so that’s was a relief. We didn’t have much other choices so was happy at the end of it. We ordered the entree scallop, skink and the prawn pasta all quite tasty and well presented. Service was great, the staff friendly and attentive. Star rating deducted simply from a value for money perspective.
