The Arch Inn takes great pride in our delicious dishes, all made in-house with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Located by the coast, we are fortunate to offer local seafood like scallops, langoustines, lobster, and oysters, in addition to favorites like Cullen Skink and Cider Battered Haddock with Skin On Fries. Our restaurant is open from 5pm to 9pm on Wednesdays and 11am to 9pm Thursday to Monday, while our bar is open seven days a week. Enjoy a wide selection of drinks at The Arch bar, including beers from Highland breweries like Cromarty and Cairngorm, and gins from nearby distillery Highland Liquor Company, such as their award-winning Seven Crofts. The Arch Inn in Ullapool offers a blend of good food and disappointing service elements. While guests appreciate the freshly prepared meals, including standout salmon dishes and vegetarian options, the presentation often leaves much to be desired. Breakfast options are limited to a basic continental selection, marred by the absence of fresh juice and unkempt surroundings. The bar, once welcoming to travelers, now caters primarily to locals, affecting overall guest experience. Despite the charming harbor views and friendly staff, many patrons leave feeling that attention to detail and service could significantly enhance their visit.
When we arrived there was a note that the kitchen was closed. The barman apologised for not letting us know, so it was rather disappointing!
Restaurant accepted and confirmed reservation but was closed on arrival. Very poor attitude and no response from management. Don't bother going here.
A bit of a disappointment as the dining area is a stark, almost windowless room. The pub attached looked cozy and fun though no seats to be had. Food was good as was service. I’d give it another go easily for a pub seat.
We had a great dining experience at The Arch Inn. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. I ordered the scallops and a side of greens, both of which were perfectly prepared. We also tried the smoked chicken starter, which was a bit too strong for our liking. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was a wonderful way to end the meal. Overall, we would definitely dine here again.
Service was terrible but the food was great !
