I enjoyed the sweet potato soup, rye bread toast topped with mushrooms, carrot Wellington, and sticky toffee pudding served with vegan ice cream. However, I was disappointed that there was no vegan mayo available for the fries. Additionally, even though we informed the staff we were vegan, we were still served dairy butter with the bread. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly! Updated from my previous review on May 17, 2024.

We appreciated the thoughtful t... read more Our room on the third floor has been beautifully renovated and is immaculate, featuring a stunning, modern en-suite shower room. We appreciated the thoughtful touch of tea, coffee, chocolate, and biscuits provided for us. The photos and corridors were all fresh and clean. We were initially influenced by older reviews, but it’s clear that the hotel has undergone significant refurbishment, and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. The breakfast selection was excellent, and the staff were all polite and friendly. It’s truly a wonderful place to stay.

There are limited possibilities for a family room for 3 more people in ullapool. this hotel is one of these options. the lobby and the ground floor seem to unde... read more There are limited possibilities for a family room for 3 more people in ullapool. this hotel is one of these options. the lobby and the ground floor seem to underline some new renovations and are actually quite beautiful. the bathrooms are modern, clean and well lit. the hotel consists of two (or more) sections. the garden area also seems to be more modern, while the original hotel is not. the family room we were assigned is located in the old part of the hotel in the second floor. there is no elevator that is not surprising and I have not taken any stars out of this floor. the room itself is badly ventilated and requires a window to open. the windows are quite old and not easy to open. with open window you can experience the noises of the opposite with möwen and other noises. the bathroom is in a partial condition of despair with a very old wash basin and shower that has mold in the corners. the shower itself is also difficult to control and can vary quickly from very hot to very cold. for this I have reduced my rating by 1 star. I have also reduced to value because of the high cost. the bets were a little soft, but that is acceptable. the bed was clean and most towels were clean. a set had a dark spot so it was not used. it was not necessary, so no call to the recipe. on this front were the employees of the reception plentiful and very friendly and efficient. the check-in was quick and easy. below line: hotel in a good location that seems to make improvements. I would think in the future new as it seems that there is a lot of effort to make the hotel better.
