About the kitchen, not a bad word. Renewed, complex flavors and perfct mix of unusual ingredients the service was very dry. We had to ask for a sandwich, and until twice. We ask our glasses to fill with the ordered wine the bottle was gone in a locker. We had a half a bottle of wine we didn't touch. Too bad! Not for heaping indecent.
2 that we wanted a little festive and we were filled with the experience of the curry! menu 8 services, after a delicious aperitif, from the first entry to the second dessert. A complete success! a lot of originality in the choice of herbs/perfums perfect kitchen of fish and meat (notice to vegetarians there is also at this moment a special menu of vegetables.) useless to describe each dishes because the menu is surprise and the menu seems to change all the time depending on the market. Don't miss: homemade cheeses! impeccable service. the frame could be a hotter suspicion but magic is in the plate.
A superb lunch placed on the table in kitchen and made of vegetables. Everyone comes with his plate and serves when I went there there were dishes with mushrooms, asparagus, beets, carrots, legumes., each time with incredible products, impeccable cuisine and seasoning that transcend the taste of vegetables. I was with a person who finds that the vegetables are not funny and it was amazed at the best lunch of the kind in my opinion.
The food was ok, nothing really spectacular, but quite overpriced. It’s good old fashioned Belgian cooking, but at the end of the day, a stew or sausage with mashed potatoes are not dishes that should cost €25-30. The wine was very tasty. The bill came to €160, for that price we each got dessert shared one starter between the three of us in addition to our main. I was the only one with a glass of wine, the others drank 1-2 soft drinks. Service was friendly very fast, although after paying €30 for the carbonnade/flemish stew, I was frustrated that they cleared the table when I was outside for a few minutes to tend to my unruly toddler… my absent minded companions were as much to blame as the server in this case. Despite the prices, the restaurant seems popular I liked the original old school interior which counted for a nice atmosphere.
Nice authentic Brasserie interior Service horrible servant didn’t know about the wine card, the cook was drinking himself in the back of the restaurant watching football… The menu was very meaty and standard Belgium cuisine nothing with a twist. The food was far too expensive (starters started at 20 Euros) and not at all nicely arranged on the plates. The Scottish salmon didn’t taste very smoky, the Tatar looked grey and came in huge cubes. Our experience was very poor and we will not go here again. There are so many lovely restaurants in Brussels…
