Los Maitines - Úbeda

Además de sus monumentos e historia, Ubeda tiene un encanto añadido que es el tapeo. Después de visitar los primeros monumentos, llegó la hora de la cerveza y nos dirigimos a una calle en el centro histórico de la ciudad, con bares y restaurantes a cada lado. Elegimos Los Maitines y debo decir que fue todo un acierto. El servicio fue muy bueno, pero las tapas y los precios fueron aún mejores. Por cada cerveza ponen una tapa acompañándola, que no solo es abundante, sino también muy bien presentada. Probamos caracoles, salmorejo, filetito, croquetas y una ración de queso en forma de monje con hojaldres rellenos de queso y salsa de confitura de tomate... Deliciosos. En total, 8 cervezas con sus tapas correspondientes, la ración de hojaldre, un lugar encantador y un buen servicio... ¡Por 17 euros! ¿No está mal, verdad?

Es un bar un poco sofisticado y pequeño que no está mal, donde turistas coinciden con locales de Úbeda que van a tomar su cerveza. Lo recomendaría para quienes buscan tapas pequeñas de diseño con una presentación realmente llamativa, pero no encontrarán la típica gastronomía de tapas de Úbeda. Como curiosidad, les cuento que hay una pintura de San Juan de la Cruz comiéndose un bocadillo.

Si van a visitar Úbeda pronto, les recomendamos hacer una parada en Los Maitines. Estuvimos allí el fin de semana y nos gustó mucho el lugar. Lo había leído por aquí y fue un acierto visitarlo. La comida es buena, está bien presentada, los precios son buenos y el trato por parte del personal es excelente. Sin duda, repetiremos cuando volvamos.
