Right in the centre of Úbeda; opposite the very helpful Tourist office. A very 'Spanish ' cafe/bar with very helpful and welcoming staff. We had the boquerones (whitebait) and patatas bravas (fired potato cubes in a spicy tomato sauce). Both were excelllent and not at all expensive.
Nothing fancy just basic Spanish workman’s fayre and exceptionally good without the trappings. Great spot for people watching in Plaza de Andalucia. Full of life this place attracts true characters, locals and all, and at times you’re hard pushed to get a table. Many thanks to Mariano who was an excellent waiter in the evenings and we’re behind you and Real Madrid all the way. Thank you too to the lively waitress that very thoughtfully brought water for our dog and served amazing Carijjjjjada
On our visit of the historical part of the city of Ubeda, we used the underground car park on the “Plaza de Andalucia”, which is ok, at a few steps of the “Tourist Office” and easy to walk into the historical part. On top of it at the end of our visit it was noon, so we were in need some food. So we went to the small restaurant “Libra” above the underground car park. We got there a very friendly table servant called “Ramon”, who explained us everything which was very helpfull. Finaly we deceded to take the day plate “entrance, main plate, dessert, a drink for both of us and two coffees, and bread”. We got a good quality price of the food, who was very tastefull and more than enough, We where very surpriced with the service, quality of the food and finally with the price, in total we have payd 27€, who was allot cheaper than the restaurant next door, for people who like to sit on the small terrace, this also is possible. Certainly a place to return.
Good location, on a very pretty square. Attentive and professional waiting staff. We go there every time that we visit Übeda and we've never been disappointed,
