I think they have removed many items from their menu. It seems that power bowls may no longer be available. However, they do offer avocado toast. I was unable to reach anyone by phone, so I recommend calling before visiting. This restaurant is a hidden gem located inside Plaza Tower downtown. I managed to take a picture of part of their menu, which did not include the power grain bowls that I heard are delicious. The... View all feedback.
What Betty A dislikes about 1948:
This restaurant has a charming and clean interior, and the staff was friendly. My server was quick and efficient. However, the gentleman assisting her seemed less enthusiastic about making the avocado toast. I ended up waiting a bit over 15 minutes while he delivered other customers' meals. He did apologize for the delay, which made me think the dish might take some time to prepare. Unfortunately, when I finally rece... View all feedback.
Update: I think they have taken a lot from their menu. power bowls can no longer be available. I know they serve avocado toast. could not reach anyone on the phone, but first call before they leave. this is a hidden gem in the Plaza Tower in the city. I took a picture of a part of their menu, but they don't offer power-body shots that are fantastic. they serve cold now, but I would recommend that they heat up the bowl, as the quinoa tastes better warm, imo. cool relaxed hipster atmosphere, really unique and beautiful to find in tyler. updated by previous review on 2021-03-29
When I left, was the only vegan option they had provided the vegan nachos. it had black buzzing, swirling, tomato, mais, sweet kartoffels and cheese. it was really good! on their menu they had a vegan grilled cheese and a few vegan sandwiches, but they were outside. it seems as if they would suggest a buck of their sandwiches and simply sell them until they sold out
Only for the first time, and the only vegan options they now have are the vegan nachos.
