This place is so charming I can barely stand it. My fiancé booked the room for us before I did a real thorough deep dive into the place. I was slightly concerned when I saw some of the pictures online after we already had reservations....If you’re worried about what the pictures look like, let me put your mind at ease. The whole complex seems to have been recently updated. The cafe/bar area has a new addition. The courtyard area was lush and eclectic. The room was updated and gorgeous. We got a room with a king bed and hot tub on the patio (I would call it a plunge pool maybe) and I could not recommend it more. We ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant twice and found it perfectly adequate. Chilaquiles are the way to go (red salsa was superior to green FYI). We spent our days crawling around the jungle at various archeological sites so to be able to come back, take a quick soak in our own little tub before getting ready for dinner, was such a treat. The room was immaculate, the blue tile detail was, again, so charming. Bathroom was aesthetically pleasing. Our bed was a little firm but after a day of activities it was very welcoming. The staff were amazing. The front desk so so helpful and kind. They gave us recommendations and helpful hints. It was also so nice to walk by them on our way out and back in and have them acknowledge us by name. Truly great service. Housekeeping was great as well. There were little touches here and there that made us think they really took pride in their work. Over all, would thoroughly recommend this hotel. It was nice to be in the city, away from the party of the beach strip. If you’re looking for a chill place with all the comforts, stay here.

Lovely hotel, the transfer was good, basic room with air con and very comfortable big bed. Our room was cleaned, and clean towels left daily. Good restaurant, bikes to rent and pool, able to swim until All staff were friendly and helpful, especially Valentin....Staff were so helpful and keen to help and offer advice and called us taxis whenever needed, usually to get to beaches. An easy walk to city centre and we felt safe even at night and explored the side streets near the hotel where we found traditional, less touristy Mexican restaurants with cheap great food and lovely people. We kept lots of small change to tip these lovely, helpful and hard working people. A lovely hotel and holiday, would love to return! Linzi and Sarah
