The hotel is in the federal park, and is (temporarily? only accessible through park gate, but we only had to wait a few minutes each time. There is no beach access, but there are public beaches a less than 10 minute walk away, which you can access through their sister hotel Mezzanine. We did really enjoy the food at Mezzanine (Thai aroi mak and Mi Amor, but expect resort prices (e.g., ~US$25 for a hamburger . We got the room with the soaking tub which is not a jacuzzi and was not warm enough to use at night. Turn down server with hot tea and chocolates is a nice touch. Spa treatments were excellent and overall the staff is very accommodating and helpful to make sure the stay is top tier.
