This is a no-nonsense place for a breakfast with seafood. They also cook from the main menu during breakfast hours. I particularly enjoy their El Capitan tacos with shrimp. Find the most cheerful waiter, and you're good to go.

Ok, last night in Tulum and we finally stopped here, and damn, glad we did! The food was off the charts, service was amazing and we loved it! The fish tacos were amazing! The whole fish was really good. Price was super reasonable. EAT HERE!!!

We eat dinner at a fish restaurant El Capitan, we order a fish fillet al diablo and a fish fillet with garlic, they serve it with rice and some vegetables, we pay 300 pesos. Light, quite tasty, but nothing special, it's not the best fish we've ever eaten.

Medium food and not a tasty fish, the shrimp breaded was good but the fish(carpi) wasn’t I wish they had better plates and not so touristy

We were looking for a mid range restaurant for dinner but were running out of time and options. Our instincts told us this would be an authentic if unpolished experience, and we were right. Highlight of the limited menu was probably the burger with a number of variations, though its presentation on the plate left lots of opportunity for improvement. The fajitas, on the other hand, were disappointing and had little in taste or presentation to recommend them. Atmosphere in the largely empty restaurant was not helped by a wandering street musician giving us a rendition on his ukelele of juantanmera. But it did add to the authenticity. Overall rather overpriced for the limited offerings of standard fare, but ok, if like us, you need a quick simple meal to get you through the evening.
