The staff was friendly even though we were outsiders. This is definitely a locals spot. A lot of the diners knew each other. Our service was good. Food tasty. We went back several times during our stay.
This is what a real Mexican bar is. Buy beer and they will feed you snacks all night. Order a bucket of beer in this bar/restaurant and the snacks just start to arrive.Not just chips and salsa, although you do get them and they're great homemade. Beer is cheap, food is great, nothing wrong. Canned music can be a bIt loud, but they'll lower it fior you. Ceviche is awesome. Not a gringo bar, but you will be welcomed by friendly mexicans.Went a 2nd time and same results.
Great mexican flavours and very reasonable prices. Staff were really great and madee you feel welcome. I particularly enjoyed their guacamole and shrimp tacos.
Wonderful staff, great service and best food on our 6day trip! Try the garlic cream sauce! The owner/manager even gave me the recipe for the garlic cream sauce!
El Arrecife is still a bit too noisy, buy they will moderate the volume somewhat if asked. The food however is great, from the free tapas and soups, to super fresh and crunchy ceviches .
