After receiving recommendation from our hotel, we came for dinner. Without reservations, we had to wait for a table. Enjoyed a awesome meal. Maple Whisky Salmon, Seafood Pasta, Lobster Gratin. All entrees were fabulous. Server was great. This restaurant was the best meal of our Cape Breton/Halifax trip. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Frank and Gino's:
My husband and I both ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. After the waiter took out order, he came back to tell us they were out of that particular dish. We decided to try the lasagne instead. The first bite into our lasagne there was something crunchy. After a close inspection we found that it has large pieces of onion, celery, red and green bell peppers throughout the dish. I enjoyed all the experience at frank ginos. server was great, eating was delicious!
Overall a great place, we were there a few times and everything except the service is consistently large. the service seems to improve and the personal rises their game during the busy times.
Great food. beautiful atmosphere. the lighting at the tables could be somewhat brighter.
Food is always excellent, our guests enjoyed it too. Service was ‘good’ but our waitress forgot a few things we asked for so we had to remind her…in fairness, she was very busy. We will be back tho’!
