Deluxe French Fries - Truro

This place is actually good but keep in mind it's super fat which means is not too good for your health.There tartar sauce is good but comes in packets which reminded me of a fast food type setting.I can't really comment on customer service because it was a take out order and phoned them to keep it ready which they did.The restaurant gets two thumbs up because there was no delay and everything was good to go. Keep up the good work.

Should have trusted TA on this one! Horrible customer service and less than average food at high prices. No need to visit again.

I have driven by this place for many years and it never occurred to me to try it. Since they don't put out flyers with specials or advertise very much, it just isn't a place you ever think of. But this week, we finally stopped in. Shouldn't have bothered. I had the English style fish and chips. The fries were barely warm and the fish was greasy and unappealing. There was a long wait for the food to be ready even though the place was not very busy. I observed several people bringing their food back to the counter because of some problem. So needless to say, I won't be back. There are so many better places on this strip of Robie Street.

Last night for dinner we ate here because it was the only place still open. Locals warned us away from this place. We should have listened. Spent $22.30 for the fishermen platter. Everything was deep fried and greasy. Got 6 overcooked medium sized scallops, a very overcooked half sized piece of fish, some mussels and fries that were OK.

This place is clean and tidy and fast. There is lots of room to be away from the TV or close enough to watch if you like. The wait is reasonable and you can enjoy a chat or read the paper after you place your order at the counter. A pleasant staff person will deliver your piping hot food to your table. A fine combination of fast food and relaxed dining, all that is missing is China plates but the plates are compostable so there is a pay off for the environment.
