We ordered edamame, chicken appet... read more We were expecting very tasty authentic Japanese food upon seeing nice wooden (not single use) chopsticks and the classy decor. We ordered edamame, chicken appetizer, a sushi roll, salmon nigiri, and two bowls of ramen. The ramen was borderline too salty,barely edible. The chicken appetizer was tasty but probably more of a fusion style dish, not authentic. The nigiri was abysmal.I’ve purchased salmon before and made my own sushi, even as an untrained chef I was able to choose better cuts of salmon thanthis so called sushi restaurant. Hands down the worst salmon nigiri I’ve ever had. Inedible. The roll was passable but not upto par with the price and quality of sushi places we’ve ever eaten at. In short- we were expecting better quality food butcame away sorely disappointed.

We also ordered edamame with garlic spices on it for the table and it was a major hit. The service was a little slow, but the overallexperience made it completely worth it. Inside and outside seating. Will be visiting again!

The updated post is from May 31st of 2024. This is probably the restaurant my wife and I like the best in Truckee CA!
