At Drunken Monkey, diners can expect a vibrant atmosphere paired with a stylish decor that hints at an authentic Japanese experience. While the service is generally commendable, with friendly and responsive staff, the food quality leaves much to be desired. Patrons often find dishes inconsistently salty, particularly the ramen, and the sushi varies, with some options impressing while others, notably the salmon nigiri, disappoint. Despite limited variety, including a notable focus on fried shrimp, many guests praise the calamari and unique flavors. Although it can get busy, especially during peak times, overall, there’s potential for a delightful meal in a pleasant environment.

We had the yellow **** grilled fish and it was really well cut, cooked and plated called hamachi kama. I'm a big fish lover, and this place makes it right. The service was very good. They led us what we like and helped us to order the right items on the menu. My daughter got Hosomaki with some additional articles like Spinat and Aal. Hosomaki was the best we have achieved so far. They looked at our table. Well served. Especially thanks to Koch Nedim and all employees for the amazing experience.

The food itself would have got five stars, the serving (the waitresses) however were the slowest I've ever experienced! We went there on a Thursday evening, they were really busy so it took quite a while for us to get seated, around 50 minutes, but it is understandable. The food was absolutely worth the wait, fantastic sushi rolls, very flavorful and balanced. The soup base for the udon is quite good too. But after we finish eating, we waited for almost 30 minutes just to get the check, we had to wave down multiple waitresses and then they just seem to disappear somewhere and never came back. They didn't seem shorthanded, we saw quite a few waitresses during our dinner, they were just all moving at a very slow speed.

Came here with a bachelor party of 9 guys and had an awesome time! The sushi was really incredible with tons of great options. I don't usually like sushi that much, but this place definitely had a superb menu for anyone who doesn't like sushi much or REALLY loves sushi. Highly recommend. There's also a very interesting drink menu with a tasty selection.

We were expecting very tasty authentic Japanese food upon seeing nice wooden (not single use) chopsticks and the classy decor. We ordered edamame, chicken appetizer, a sushi roll, salmon nigiri, and two bowls of ramen. The ramen was borderline too salty, barely edible. The chicken appetizer was tasty but probably more of a fusion style dish, not authentic. The nigiri was abysmal.I’ve purchased salmon before and made my own sushi, even as an untrained chef I was able to choose better cuts of salmon thanthis so called sushi restaurant. Hands down the worst salmon nigiri I’ve ever had. Inedible. The roll was passable but not upto par with the price and quality of sushi places we’ve ever eaten at. In short- we were expecting better quality food butcame away sorely disappointed.

Overall the sushi rolls are limited in variety almost all the rolls are fried shrimp. Pretty decent sushi for a place in the mountains. Plates are a bit too salty. The service is nice the place overall has a good ambiance. The calamari plate was reallygood and filling. Pricey but expected.
