the buffet was a good quality and a good value for money. an additional star to the waitress who decided to reduce our bill due to a lack of full choice on the buffet. much quieter than the promenade. highly recommended. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sushi Solsiden:
we have tried this place again and again. first the sushi is a stretch. that is laughing, snarchy! and a sea of thick maionia to swim. they are really big bowls full of things. secondly, the insulting supplement was the service. It doesn't play a role for them. If that were great, it wouldn't matter to me that we had to dive on a small table while the half of the restaurant was empty. I don't care that they could not... One of the better sushi buffets in the city at this price. I especially like the soups they contain in the sushi buffet.
Ordered here once... 3 years ago. I couldn 't place my order unless I provided my phone number. I was asked if I wanted to receive notifications about discounts. I ticked 'no '. 3 years later, I 'm STILL getting texts about discounts! From a sender that does not support replies! No way to opt out. The only link provided goes to the splash page for their website. From what I can recall, the food was average. Nothing to complain about and nothing to write home about either. Par for the course: overpriced rice with a shot of fish. If I had to guess, it 2 or 3 handfuls of sashimi for 600kr. After the student discount . I 'm sure the buffet service is decent, but these obnoxious texts with no possibility for opting out have more or less guaranteed that I wouldn 't be back here. EDIT: Thanks to the owner 's speedy reply, I was able to opt out of the texts. I still hadn 't signed up in the first place, and I still wasn 't impressed by the food or the price, but the quick customer service alone warrants a little merit, maybe even a second chance (after all, 3 years is a long time). Thanks.
Good location, friendly staff, and clean but not my favourite Sushi Bar as the venue is a bit cramped and the building is old so you can feel whenever a bus passes by the building.
We have tried this place once, and never again. First of all, calling this sushi is a stretch... this is salamon, cream cheese ! and an ocean of thick maionese to swim in. They actually big bowls full of the stuff.. Secondly, adding to the insult, was the service... They simply don't care. If the food had been great I wouldn't have mind so much that we had to cram in on a too small table, while half the restaurant was empty. I wouldn't cared that they couldn't be bothered to help out adjusting the menu to find something for our smallest kid. I would not think twice about it when I noticed that they treated the next group differently from us we were probably the wrong kind of clients, with kids and all . My advice.. stay away! There are much better real sushi options in town, where they will treat you nice and be helpful, and serve much better food.
