In a touristic area it can be hard to find good local food mad in a way that the natives would appreciate it. However Suprabhatam does this very well and you find local birthday parties coming here too. I have been here both a lone and with friends who have a good knowledge of the Indian Cusine and each to time to our absolute satisfaction. I have enjoyed the food at every restaurant we have visited on our trip to India, except for this place. I am not a picky eater, but the flavors here were dull and unexciting, almost as if the chef had given up. The palak paneer tasted like spinach diluted with water, and the fried vegetable rice lacked any flavor as well. Additionally, the glasses were dirty. I had a wonderful lunch at Suprabatham. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and is open-air. The service was excellent. I noticed the chef chopping fresh pumpkin shortly after I placed my order, showing that my dish was being prepared just for me. I opted for a half portion that was not spicy, which suited my ayurvedic diet perfectly. The price was reasonable. This is a fantastic spot with delicious and nutritious food, as well as top-notch service. I will definitely return.

Perhaps we caught them on a bad day, as there was a regular customer sitting behind us, but even so, it was not worth the high prices.
I loved all the dishes I tried at this restaurant. It has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, and the fans are a nice touch to stay cool. The portion sizes are not massive, but just right. Everything is freshly made and organic, resulting in delicious and flavorful food.
Overall, very good food. This is a large and spacious restaurant. It has a feeling of being in the outdoors with tables well spaced and generally filled with yoga groups. There are plenty of tables and space for larger groups and couples. Food was well cooked and tasty. Waiters needed a prompt at times but overall a good experience.
Suprabhatham is an organic veg restaurant located in the end of one of the alleys opposite Kovalam beach. The restaurant is a little tricky to find if you don't find the alley. We zeroed it on this place after reading rave reviews about it in TripAdvisor. The afternoon we dined we had the whole place to ourselves which resulted in good service. We ordered Fried rice and Pakodas which are made to order and tasted quite good. The menu is pretty versatile catering to both the Indian and foreign crowds that throng the beach. Accepting cards or wallets in addition to cash could bring in more crowd.
