We were in Castelmuzio for a week and ate here at least 3 times during our stay. Staff was very friendly and helped us with out language barrier, the lasagna was wonderful, we went back the last night to have that again.

I don't like fussy food a foam of this and a jus of that. I like high quality ingredients simply prepared, and that was exactly what we were served at La Toretta. This is hearty tuscan fare at its best; the portions are generous and the food is absolutely delicious. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough we ate here several times, including one occasion when we just went in for dessert and coffee (tiramisu to die for! . The staff are warm and welcoming and we were always treated like special guests. We chose La Toretta for dinner on the last night of our holiday and the whole experience was one of the highlights of our week.

La Torretta was recommended to us by our real estate broker who lives in the area and this one was a home run. We love the food so much we eat here several times when we visit the area and that is quite a compliment because there are several great restaurants in this neck of the woods. The town square where Torretta is located is small and very quaint but clearly this is the best place in the area because its always packed. We ate outside on a warm summer night and the meal was memorable. Everyone had pasta and a second course and the breadcrumbs and truffles pasta was amazing. The great thing about Tuscany is that the hills and the walking around keep the waistline tight. Go check out the Abbazia di Monte Oiveto when you are out there if you are into art and churches!

This was the only restaurant in this tiny town, but possibly had some of the best meals. We were handicapped with our lack of Italian and wisely surrendered to the suggestions of the staff. We could not have done better. The food was abundant, varied and well made. Hearty Tuscan fare in abundance with a very reasonable charge.

This place (recently changed its name) serves great dinner for a decent price. Typical Tuscan kitchen. During the weekend the place gets crowded, and serving time increases. We also had once some panini for lunch, which were defenetely overpriced.
