Recently a friend & I decided to go to the A Red Dot Japanese Restaurant.It was a Thursday night and the place was quite busy.Nice friendly young guy was our wa... read more Recently a friend & I decided to go to the A Red Dot Japanese Restaurant.It was a Thursday night and the place was quite busy.Nice friendly young guy was our waiter and looked after us well, very happy to explain the different items on the menu .Service was great and it was not long after ordering that our selected dishes arrived.We were happy to share and all was scrumptious , loved the deep fried marinated salmon.The Shoga Yaki was also delicious and really enjoyed the chips with Miso Aioli.We enjoyed the experience and were the last to leave, very tasty and fresh food, good Japanese fare.In a town with an abundance of places to eat this is definitely one to try .

We shared several entrees and mains and all were fresh and flavoursome with great friendly service and value . I will definitely take and recommend Red Dot to friends and colleges .

The meals came out quickly and were delicious we had dessert too.

We decided to order the banquet dinner from the menu, which was $50 per person for our party of four. The variety of food in the banquet was incredible, with the chef selecting each delicious item. We can't wait to visit again and highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Our favorite dish, the octopus balls (tako yaki), was perfectly cooked and the best we have had at any Japanese restaurant. It was a delightful discovery in a small town like Traralgon.
