Lana - Tralee
Lana
Description
LANA offers a vibrant selection of vegan dishes that cater to diverse palates. Diners rave about the vegan Chow Mein, praised for its bold flavors and right amount of spice, while the Singapore noodles also receive positive acclaim for their taste and heartiness. However, experiences can vary, with some finding dishes like the vegan Pad Thai to be bland and unremarkable. The restaurant's commitment to offering more than just standard vegan fare, alongside its friendly service, makes it a popular choice. Outdoor seating in warmer months adds to the charm, even though it has been removed for the time being.

I received my food quickly and decided to try the dish of the month, which was Pad Thai with Tofu.
The vegan menu is quite convenient, but be sure to request dishes without egg if you want them to be fully vegan. The portions are very generous!
I ordered the vegan Pad Thai, and unfortunately, it was far from authentic and quite bland. However, I'm giving LANA three stars for a few reasons: I got my food to go, and if you dine in, there’s certainly the option to add soy sauce or spices. They also offer a variety of other vegan options. Aside from the Thai curries, everything can be made vegan, and you can add tofu to your dishes. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and my food was prepared very quickly. It's fantastic to have a place that provides more than just vegan burgers, salads, chips, or bland cheeseless pizza. I would definitely return to try something different. I wish I had checked out other reviews beforehand, as some of them highlight great recommendations for what to order.
Original review January 2022: I got the vegan Sinapore noodles with tofu and veg which was tasty and filling. Others in the party got the veg snack box with chips, rice, and tofu, which they found a little too spicy but enjoyed otherwise. Great to have so many vegan options. Would return. #Veganuary Update September 2022: I have returned several times over the past year. Sometimes the food is really flavourful and other times it is very bland and disappointing. I wonder if this is due to changing chefs? The last 2 times I got the vegan chow mein and that was amazing, very tasty. I liked how they had outside seating during the summer, but it looks like they've been taken away now. Updated from previous review on 2022-10-02
