Despite its proximity to busy Bethnal Green, the atmosphere is relaxed. The cocktails are sophisticated and the bar snacks are simple but delicious. My partner wasn't satisfied with his drink choice, but the bartender graciously offered to exchange it for a different one at no extra cost. The tankards for beer are a nice touch. The Tavern is on the smaller side, so it's best to make it your first or last stop of the evening to avoid the crowds.
