It was definitely a nice idea, and totally worth... read more We booked last minute an afternoon tea at this 5 star hotel in Canary Wharf, out of the fuss in central London. It was definitely a nice idea, and totally worth in terms of value for money! Reservation process over the phone was fast and easy, with all our questions answered in a satisfactory extent. Upon arrival, we were greated and served by Cataldo, the head waiter, who was also very patient and helpful with us, when we asked to take some pictures of our party. The savoury secton was tasty, with ample selection of frwshly made sandwiches, followed by superb scones, with homemade jam. The experience was overall excellet. My only suggestion would be, being summer, to make a better use of the outdoor area: in spite of the wonderful weather, we were seated inside, which was a bit shameful, considering the nice weather. Other than that, i would really recommend the experience to all of those who are still doubting of the great potential East London facilities can express.

There were a good number of teas to choose from and staff were quick to refill when we ran short. The sandwiches were all good and I particularly liked the slice of chorizo sausage roll. Wish there had been more of that! The scones were decent but not amazing. The cakes ended things nicely. We had a Groupon voucher so it was half price.
