I know exactly where I'm going to Nicolas Wine Bar, because it's tucked away from the noise, its layout is simple but elegant (chic), and the staff are equally effortless in the way they handle restaurant goers. Part of me doesn't want to say this, because I'd rather keep the secret, but too late now...

The prices for the wine are reasonable and you can relax and chat all night without feeling obligated to spend a lot of money.

There is plenty of choice for good wine at the shop, and you can have it in the restaurant for a small corkage fee. Lunch menu is great and the food is always delicious. I have not had dinner there, however the cheese meats platter goes really well with few glasses of wine after work. Book a table if you are planning to go there during the week.
