I frequently visit Morpeth and enjoy bringing my friends along. The prices are affordable, the food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly. It's never too crowded to have a conversation with your friends, and you don't have to wait in long lines for a drink. I had a wonderful time watching some of the World Cup games here without any hassle. View all feedback.
What susanhP8159PZ doesn't like about Lord Morpeth:
I live near this pub and its always been a fantastic pub. But lately there has been a group of lads in the pub and hanging outside the pub taking drugs being very loud and intimidating and causing alot of anti social behaviour. I have emailed the pub and have not had any response!!! Low and behold they are at the pub again tonight and it seems as though the owners/bartenders are doing nothing about it. View all feedback.
Lord Morpeth London A great find in the east end of London with most friendly bar staff. 738892104 A found this pub whilst walking around the area the first thing that stands out is a giant mural on it's side wall of Sylvia Pankhurst. When entering the pub it had a very friendly atmosphere and the pub itself was very nice inside. For when the weathers warmer there are a few tables out the front too. As mentioned previously the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful I loook forward to returning in the near future to try out some of the food they offer as it sounds great. This place although not close to and tube stations has a few bus routes passing nearby.
Absolutely love the Lord Morpeth. During summer it's awesome to sit outside and how can you go past the £10 pizza and pint on Mondays and Tuesdays. The team are super friendly and the tunes are a hit!
I had an excellent evening at The Lord Morpeth. The bar staff created a wonderful atmosphere that was friendly, attentive, and energetic. The added bonus of a late license until 1am is a plus. I highly recommend this place.
This cozy and neighborhood pub offers a fantastic variety of beers. The staff is very welcoming, and the pizzas are truly outstanding. They also have options for vegans, with the ortolena pizza being a standout favorite.
This is is the middle pub of three that sit on Old Ford Road. As you approach it gives the appearance of a traditional brick-built estate pub, especially at night with the lights from the tower blocks behind framing the vista. However, as you draw closer the high wall mounted neon saloon sign advertising sourdough pizza gives a clue to what lies inside. Internally its nowadays far from a traditional pub and internally is very stripped out, with a bare floor and mostly walls of bare brick, with some floral wallpaper and very distressed paintwork to the windows, and the analogy to a well stripped out neon hipster joint I saw on another review site is fairly accurate with the additional description of a sourdough pizza oven providing the food menu. The main interest on the beer front was some modern craft keg beers, but the bar does have a couple of ale pumps and one of these was in use with Wild Card Brewery Best, which I went for. A fairly average bitter but I think this was more to do with the beer than the pub. The standout feature of this pub for me was actually outside in the form of the excellent Votes for Women mural that fills the entire West wall of the exterior. So, all things for all in this short stretch of the Old Ford Road. If you want a decent ale in an old school traditional pub then look no further than the Eleanor Arms. If you want decent food in smart surroundings then you should carry on to The Crown. And if you are under 30, you may like this one. I’m not by a long chalk and I didn’t.
