Was Anonym at Kolaphata a mag?
It was our first visit to Kolapata, we had the Kacchi biriyani, grills, and puchka and bhuna beef. The Kacchi biriyani rice was very fluffy, with lovely tender pieces of lamb on the bone, the flavouring and textures were just right. The puchka was light and crispy on the outside with a very fresh, hot and flavoursome filling. All the grills and naan were very fresh too. The service was excellent, really nice to find a... What syedumorali dislikes about Kolaphata:
Was looking for quick lunch. Popped into Kolapta, selected the Kachi biryani which was served within very short time. Taste was delicious. Try them if you want authentic Bangladeshi foods. View all feedback.

Kolapata has amazing Bangladeshi food, connecting you to the culture of the Asian country. Food has wonderful taste and SPICE. The restaurant service is a little slow, yet manageable. Food doesn't cost much. The restaurant is hard to get to via public transport. A tip their mix bhorta gives you a lot making a great price saver.
Went there with my friends. The food was top class. Then after when we had the finni, I have lost my words. The best ever finni I have ever had. We will be back again Thanks to the staffs
Worst kachhi biriyani you can ever have. Food was definitely a day old. Lola pats food quality gone worst. I should have tried other biriyani places.
Am leaving 5star for now but if they charge hidden tax and service then I will remove 5star with zero star so give me good service I will be staying 7th Jan till 14th jan so don't charge extra or play tricks with vat tax service charge I had terrible experience in Bangladesh when I went fir holiday they looted me
Lamb chops were nicely spiced (the edges were a bit burnt and one of the pieces was quite choey). Haleem was the star dish, it was absolutely delicious (a must to try). Bhorta plater consisted of 4 types of food. 3 of them tasted similar and the fourth one wasn’t for us (we just lift it). Fosca and mango lasi, garlic naan and rice pudding were all good. The spiciness of food was too much for me. Suitable prices and nice employees.
Kolapata offers a taste of authentic Bengali cuisine, transporting diners to the bustling eateries of Dhaka. Standout dishes like bhuna khichuri and kacchi biriyani impress, while the friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere add to the overall experience. Some reviewers found the food quality and service to be amazing, while others were less impressed, citing issues with cold food and poor customer service. Overall, Kolapata seems to be a hit or miss, with some diners loving the genuine Bangladeshi flavors and others recommending improvements in food quality.

Best Chaap in London! AMAZING Would recommend to everyone. Great service and staff. Clean environment.
I’ve heard about and seen Kolapata restaurant on many occasions so I finally decided to try it for myself with a friend joining me. We started off with a Kolapata mix grill which comes with lamb chops, chicken tikka and sheek kebab, the chops were average at best very lightly spiced and quite tough to chew on, the sheek kebabs were frozen supermarket kebabs and the chicken tikka had no spice at all. The chicken tikka was precooked and reheated in the microwave, it was rock solid and bone dry with zero flavour it was so bad in fact that we sent it back and replaced it for another piece of sheek kebab instead. We ordered a Kacchi biryani, Shoreesha Ilish and chicken roast for mains with a mix bhorta. The kacchi biryani was overloaded with raisins or sultanas, it came with two pieces of meat on the bone which had barely any meat on, the biryani was served with a egg korma which was hideous it had sour notes to it and tasted off again this was pre cooked and reheated. The chicken roast was average and the shoreesha ilish was average too these two products would get 3/5 but the mix grill would get 1/5 starts and the biryani 2/5. Service was ok 3/5. I would avoid this place and try somewhere else on Whitechapel road as there are so many Bengali restaurants in that vicinity, I would hazard a guess that this place was good in its heyday and it’s just surviving on its name now.

Came here with mum who was craving a taste of Deshy food. She is a village girl at heart. Borta menu is fantastic. Best ones were the Tomato and Aloo. Shutki borta good too but a little spicy for me. The fried Elish mass is by far the best. Mum loved it. Service could be faster. They mainly accept cash. Will be back again for more in future. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: Loads of veggie options Dietary restrictions: Halal menu for meat and chicken
Enjoyed a mouthwatering lunch at Kalapata Restaurant! The Kacchi Biryani, Nihari, Borhani, and Firni were all exceptionally delicious. The flavours were rich and authentic, and the entire atmosphere instantly transported us back to the country that lives forever in our hearts — Bangladesh. A truly nostalgic and heartwarming experience! Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
