Go in and you feel like you have been transported to a deli/cafe in a small Italian town. The staff are charming and friendly. Food is excellent. The pizza...is just the best I have tasted outside of Italy. The toppings are fresh and delicious. I’m told the pasta is equally worthy of praise. Accompanied by a chilled glass of house white, It’s a lovely place to go for a casual drink and meal. Wapping is a great destination and I would strongly recommend a stop off at Gastronomica

When I came in, there was only one other table in the restaurant, and so it was during my stay, but our waitress and bartender and busser and everything was very helpful. the service was excellent, and she was thrilled. I have to say that I have also enjoyed their service and eating! I have a tagliatelle al funghi porcini and my friend has the parmagiana. both were extremely great!

I appreciate that they offer generous portions at a reasonable price, unlike some other upscale restaurants that skimp on serving sizes. I will definitely be returning in the future.
