The dining experience was fantastic and the restaurant was incredibly stunning. With various rooms spread out over three floors, there is plenty of room for diners. The fare was quite straightforward, and while I did not sample much traditional Faroese cuisine, compared to other nearby restaurants, it was not my favorite. This is not to say the food was not expertly prepared, as it was cooked and presented with care. It simply comes down to personal taste and preference.
This restaurant is a stunning place for dining. The menu offers a choice of 2 menus. The table arrangement is cozy and intimate. The 3-course menu is excellent, featuring high-quality dishes such as delicate salmon that melts in your mouth, lamb shoulder that is delightful, and a classic homemade dessert to end the meal on a high note. The wine list is impressive, with a great selection available by the glass.
The restaurant is situated in a historic Faroese building, surrounded by other charming restaurants. The building itself is quite spacious and has a lovely atmosphere. We decided to try out three different menus. The ingredients used were fresh and of good quality. However, there was a bit of a wait between dishes and unfortunately, some of them did not appeal to my tastes. I am particularly selective when it comes to lamb, so I had high expectations for that dish. Sadly, the taste and preparation left me feeling a bit disappointed.
